ABOUT Project Teen Forward

My name is Tulah Chatterton.  I am a junior in high school and a girl scout.  My Gold Scout Gold Award is focused on helping teens find part time, seasonal, and volunteer opportunities through education.  When I became old enough to work, I didn’t really have any idea on how to go about looking for work.  There was no formal training in school or elsewhere on how to interview or write a resume or cover letter.  I didn’t even know where to go to look for work.  My goal with this project is to run workshops in my community through the local civic organizations, community organizations and school to educate teens on the skills I discussed above.  I also created this website to continuously update it with tools and documents to help in the job search process.  In late spring, I will begin updating this site with open jobs that businesses in our community are looking to fill.  Eventually this will move over to the Floral Park Youth Council to manage and maintain.
